With the higher resolution of the k10d some people are saying the kit lens is a "waste of money" does anyone have some shots of the k10 with the Pentax 18-55mm or some with the k100 just to compare. Thanks!\

I only have the K100 but in my opinion the kit lens is pretty decent and is worth picking up. Currently it is the only really wide angle lens I have. Now, if you already have something covering that focal length, or you know that your first purchase will be the 16-45 or something similar, then I would go for just the body also. Anyhow, here is a pic of an old hotel in my county that was slated for demolition, taken on a rainy day.

HTH,
Tim
