I wonder why I'd think that this isn't supposed to be the way the front of a car should look like?

This was what our car looked like at about 5:30 this morning, on the side of the freeway. A closer look - I didn't do much except either crop or resize these pictures (too painful looking at them), they were taken with the on-camera flash, DA 50-200and ISO 800. I didn't bother using Neat Image.

This would have been a nice picture of a sunrise, if it didn't also show that the hood no longer fits right (sigh).

Finally, what we dug out from under the car. This is definitely not something you want to see right in front of you when you are traveling at 65 mph, in the dark, when there's traffic all around you.

So our 8 month old Honda is in the shop because someone lost this.

Not only that, after renting a car we went on to work because there were 2 things I needed to finish up. I had just finished one of the projects and was ready to get on the computer to finish the second one when the power went out. At that point, I told everyone I was going home and left.

For everyone who is traveling this holiday weekend - take care and stay safe!

Ha, ha! I'm having a Fit over my poor Honda Fit not fitting over the bike.

It looked like it might have been a nice bike before it fell off of someone's car (assume that's why it was in the #2 lane of a major Los Angeles freeway). Rider/owner was probably oblivious to its loss.

P.S. You can see our transmission fluid all over the bike's frame.

So sorry this happened to you, I feel your pain, I love my Honda.
It must of given you quite a fright.
I will be traveling by taxi this Christmas for safety sake.

Peace and Goodwill,
Rodney

Must have been a reallly upsetting experience. Now stay safe and have a real calmrelaxing Christmas Holiday, and let the shop bother about the car. (Good thing no one was injured.)

Merry Christmas Harriet! :byeAnd everyone else, of course)

So true - always less upsetting if no one is injured/killed esp through someones stupidity.
