This is the rest of the shots from yesterday's hike.

Seagull close up.



American avocets. These guys were backlit and I blew out the highlights on the white feathers.


A flock of godwits. Who comes up with these names?!


An adult male bufflehead. I really like the irradescence on its head.



A blue heron.



Why did the godwit cross the road?



A bad case of LBA...

Love your first one! That's some lens - don't think I could lift that one, much less use it - interesting but I'm not tempted.

Great shots, I'm just waiting till the wetter gets a little better...

and Darren your completely right but in my case
I am sorely tempted, but I really can't justify the trollywagon to drive it around
