It's just great when everything comes together. Last wednesday the pentax f1.7 50mm arrived, Thursday the k10d did. But then I had to wrap it and put it under the christmas tree (could load the battery in advance and take some shots before it was noticed) and then ... I could finally unpack it

This is a great christmass, and I wish the same to you and yours.

Looks good to me on my laptop's monitor (not the greatest monitor in the world, and definitely not calibrated). It doesn't look oversharpened, one of the easiest things to do, the DOF is appropriate and I like the colors. What more can you ask for?

thanks mtngal - i'm still figuring out a descent workflow for the raw images, and I'm always afraid of overdoing it.

thanks Roger, i'm already having a great time, just the possibility to take pictures in less than ideal conditions if the biggest advantage at this point. And now that the family has been visited i can try it out outdoors

Have fun Ronny, the K10 seems like the perfect tool for those gray days.

Great shot by the way.
