Very nice composition on both # 1 & 2--very sharp images. Great lighting effect on "bird" # 2! What lens? No EXIF info is available for the lens. Jay

i don't know. i didn't see it until i d/l it. maybe another nearby gull. the first shot is full frame. these were shot with my damaged A*300mm.

Yeah, is it the scratch that makes the strange artifact in the lower right corner on #1? hehe

Seriously, have you checked what it would cost to get it fixed so you can start using it at smaller apertures? I guess around 200 bucks = 280 for an "as new" 300 mm A*! I drooled over one that went for 1200 a couple of weeks ago!

yes, i called pentax. the front lens is no longer available. she told me if they could get it it cost $372usd....
