I have been feeding his parents, wild Pied Butcher Birds, for a couple of years and this spring I had to give the parents double rations to feed the babies in their nest high up in the tree in the park across the road.
This is on of two babies who now visit regularly, they trust me enough to eat out of my hand sometimes and sleep within arms reach on the telephone wires outside our front window.
