Hi Ed,

Noticed your photo. It's very nice! I have checked out the Tokina 80-400, but didn't know it was available in the Pentax mount.

How does it work on your camera... autofocus OK, exposure, etc.

We only get to see Osprey when they are passing thru on migration, but it's always a superb site when you get to see one.

This Tokina, 80-400mm, is no longer available new unless you can find new old stock, as I did a couple months ago. They show up on Ebay once in a while. Keep looking, it is the most compact 80-400mm and is easy to cary. Not as sharp as my 100-300mm, F4 Sigma, but easier to hand hold. When you do not know where a subject is going to come from I find a tripod can cause missed shots. I do use a monopod at times but am getting a higher percentage of good shots with the SR on K100D. I do use Manual focus, with spot focus setting.
