Bit grey, few showers, but ventured out anyway. Went for the indoor exhibits until the rain stopped. Had fun as usual - I really love the zoo.
Took 248 photos this time (not including the 30 or so deletions) and after processing kept 143.

only 248 photos?? you ran out of cards??
lol

i wouldnt have time to process all of them
the leopard is a nice pose and lots of detail in the tigers
it looks like you had to contend with shooting through glass
my favourit is the meerkat looking you right in the eyes

what a character

you may find increasein the contrast at the dark end in the lizaed photo may make it look less flat

Nice zoo assortment.

My favourites are the leopard.the 2nd tiger shot and the vulture or is it a condor?

Zoos give so many opportunities for us happy snappers !!!

Thanks for the comments

That's the only problem with the zoo nowadays, glass everywhere. It used to be wire fences, with can be thrown out of focus, but now I shoot through reflections/scratches etc. Makes it harder to find decent angles.

Still had 2 1/2 cards left, but the light had gone, so time to leave and miss the rush hour traffic. Will try to increase the contrast a bit.

The tiger does pose very well. Today was the day the big cats don't get fed. The bird was a vulture - About 7 of them all feeding on a rabbit or preening.

Your lizard was bothering me - thought the pp wasn't quite fair to what is a cool picture. Hope you don't mind too much, but I adjusted the darks - if you don't like it let me know. While you have a number of nice pictures, there's something about this one that I really like.

P.S. On second thought, I think I got carried away and got it too dark. You get the idea - I'm sure you can do better than this.

Thank you.
Looks much better. No problem with the tampering, that's why I like to post here. Everyone has a slightly different take on what makes a good picture, and I can always use a little help to improve my photos.

Great shots, the second Tiger and the first Elephant would be my favorites.
