To cure my SADness I went through the summer shots that's been laying around on my hard drive. Found a nice folder with pics from "The Medieval Village" on the Danish island Bornholm. It's not my cup of tea, but the rest of the family are deeply involved as "actors" in this open air museum. So I went there one day and of course it's a dream for the photographer - like a human historical zoo.:-)

Great fun just watching these pict. We have hardly anything in N Am. And in China and Hong Kong (where I came from), people are too busy distroying/undermining their tradition .

The participants certainly had their time of their life

Very refreshing to watch during the Winter doldrums! Nice subject matter; great lighting on the portrait! Jay

What great fun! There's someone not far from our area that trains horses for jousting. Next time I hear about a demonstration I'll go with a camera. I won't get a lovely portrait like you did, but the action might be interesting.

Fantastic photos. You really captured some fun moments. I can just hear the monty python voices in the background!

"Is it behind the rabbit?"
"NOooo it is the rabbit!"
"You silly twit! I nearly soiled my chainmail!"

That portrait is simply beautiful. Great lighting. The flowers is just a tad in the way though.
