Here is the whole kit. The stands and umbrellas fit in the scooter bag while the flashes fit in the Lowepro Nova five seen in the last post.

Thanks a lot for doing this, Ira. One day I will take a stab at it. I have to do a lot of reading about strobes and how they work.

I had an attempt at lighting using off-the-shelf (read Home Depot) contractor tripod halogen lighting and it become halogen clear to me that it is more to it than that. Uh and my wife got really angry seeing all that "junk" spread all over the living room:-) Hopefully a better looking setup will fix that.

Thanks for sharing the details Ira. A question (actually 2): How do you trigger the flash? For instance, areone of the strobes connected to the hot shoe mount while the other fires via the optical slave?

Also, What are your thoughts about using a back light? I've seen some 3 light kits and wondered what you think about a 2 vs. 3 light set up.

Yes

I think the third light is a good idea, I have only used it once.
