Great shot Roger,

imho, there are two kind of people busy with photography, reviewers and photographers and I'm sure you are of the second type.

Ronny
Ronny, what a nice thing to say THANK YOU.

Hi roy, I don't see it on my monitor and my monitor is what I used when I croped it. Thanks for commenting and for looking.

This shot is just awesome. A portrait shot of a magnificent bird. The use of the K10 and the bigma makes a great combination in the sure hands of an excellent photographer.

Congrats on a great shot.

I think the trouble with reading the reviews, is forgetting that the reviewer may not be an accomplished photographer with the equipment he/she is reviewing.

A dedicated Nikon user is goning to have trouble reviewing Cannon, Pentax etc. Equally, a landscaper is not goning to be au fait with portraiture.

It proves with this shot and the several others in the other thread that you are very good with the kit that you have got, and that 9/10 it is the photographer, not the equipment.

Darren I agree with you about the reviews. I think one of the most important things about getting a keeper photo is knowledge of the subject. What I am trying to say is someone that understands wildlife or any other subject will put themselves in the position more often to get good photos of that subject. This is only my opinion no more no less.
