Back in 1988 I returned briefly to the UK and took in the Farnborough Airshow.

Only had the K1000 then, so bought a Vivivitar Series 1. 200mm battery powered lens for the flight shots.Hardly used since.It has an F3.5 lens.

Attached to K10D on aperture ring setting and manual focus on the camera.

Seemed to have pretty good definition in seriously overcast weather,and continuous panning worked OK.

Here is first shot.

these older series1 lenses are a lot of times simply fantastic. i've got a s1105mm macro that's as sharp as any modern lens. also have a mint LN 70-210 f2.8-4 that's just as sharp as my smc 70-210.. nice shots ian..
