Nice shot Tom! I know how hard these birds are to photograph with all the white plummage. You succeeding in balancing the exposure to capture the details of the feathers without blowing out the highlights. And an in flight shot too. Bonus! I was studying your exif data and I notice you used spot metering. Do you think that helps over center weighted?

Hung,

On a white bird use only spot metering to get the full detail in the feathers without blowing out the highlights.
