18 Below Zero / Gauge & Elk

I was better prepared today. Dressed right and didn't plan on using the car window.

Getting warm compared to yesterday (20 below zero) its only 18 below today. Now all I have to do is hope the Heater continues to work

Here is where I found them. Cold, Fog, Sun., Snow & Blue Skies

Insert is after I stalked in over a ridge on the right of the background photo

About 30 yards closer

Looking for the crow. I used a crow call to get their attention

Heading for the dark timber to go to bed for the day.

YUP!!!!! Lucky me a fun morning.

What's that you're driving ? Looks like one of those FJ Cruisers. Now I know how you get into the back country for your fabulous shots !!

Hi lesmore, thanks for commenting and for looking. Yes the camera wagon is a FJ Cruiser, I figured the 3 different 4 wheel drive systems might come in handy. Sometimes it would be a long walk back to a highway.

Great shots Roger. Thanks for sharing. Brrrrrrrrrrr I've got the chills just looking at those shots.
That's too cold for my Florida blood.

Just heard that my K10D should arrive here on Thursday.

Love your landscape picture (well, your elk, too) - what a great location. Though 18 below is a little TOO cold for me (and I love to snowshoe). Sure wish we had some of your white stuff to go along with the cold we do have...
