Tried some shots today with the Sigma 135 - 400 mm lens. I think it's going to work fine but will take some practice! Jim

Thanks Roger. Little tougher to hand hold with that extra weight! What mode have you been shooting in with the 500 mm that you have found to give you the best quality image? :-) Jim

Jim I have my camera set on P and I do a short burst on auto focus and then if I think I need it I go to Manual Focus.

Alos if I am going to hiking any distance I use my bino harness. It seems to help in keeping it steady.

Those are very nice, I ues a mono-pod for heavy lenses like that.
