This is Bernie, my sisters dog. Shot a couple of him today so I thought I'd post one. Shot with a DL and 77mm f1.8 limited lens. I'd love to see some of you pet owners post some too!

A lovely dog! I'd love to post some of my dog, but unfortunately he passed away before I bought a Pentax. He was my favorite model and I still miss him (there's no way we could manage another dog with our schedule).

The 77mm lens is really sharp, and I think you used the limited DOF to an advantage here - the eyes are perfectly in focus - I'm sure there are people who shoot dogs who will not like the small DOF, but I think it works well here.

Hey Royce, I've always liked that pic. Would make a good large size print on the wall!

Thanks mtngal, I wanted the bokeh so I shot a little more open that I should have probably but with this one I think it came out ok. It printed out nicely anyway.
