Tried some closeups of the beautiful plastics from a couple of old pens. Shot using Tamron 90mm f/2.8. Used ap priority, f/11, tripod and 2 sec timer with mirror lockup.

Need to work a bit with the lighting (some glare/reflection), but I think it has potential

Interesting photos. I have used the mirror lock up several times and it really helps. I was wondering what and where was your light source?

The light source was natural light coming in through a bay window.
