What an amazing Exhibit it is... Just wish I had more time and it wasn't 80 degrees with 80% humidity. Took the first five minutes for the fog to go away on the lens before I could even take a decent shot.

Here are three of what I feel are my best shots. All taken with that Kiron 105mm macro lens. Some of the exif might be erased (ran two thru neat image). All shot at iso 400.

Thanks for looking,

Fred

These are some great shots. Very sharp. Good control of dof. Good color saturation. I do notice a bit of yellow hue, probably from the funky indoor lighting. Try shooting in RAW and adjusting the temperature next time. Otherwise, they look awesome. I wish there was a butterfly exhibit I could go to.

Hung,

Thanks for the compliment. I have learned to shoot everything indoors in RAW. I tried to adjust the wb as best I could. Sometimes seems the camera gets stuck on all the green around it and throws the contrast off a bit.

Thanks for looking,

Fred

I forgot to ask, what lens did you use?

I've been stuck on this Kiron 105mm macro lens for a while now.

Arrh! There someone goes again - posting those awesome, perfect butterfly pictures. How I envy them! I've never managed to get anything even half as good as these!

Thanks Roger!

I did not even know this exhibit was there, almost did not bring the macro with me. Just lucky I guess.
