Few shots taken with Pentax K10D and new Tamron 70-300 PKAF Macro.

First shot shows territorial Black Stilt chasing off a Pied Stilt.

Nice captures. It's interesting that we have the same black necked stilts here in southern california. Never seen an all black one though.

Nice shots. Do you use burst mode or are you just spot on with the birds in flight captures?

Thanks Hung, Lyrics 51 and Darren.

Yes Darren When I'm patrolling the estuary I have the camera in burst mode which @ 3FPS works quite well.

Still take mostly single shots with light shutter pressure but if bird looks about to fly I keep it pressed down while in focus.Have a 4 meg SD card in camera.

Great shots Ian. Lots of detail on these. Flight shots take a lot of skill and patience. Well done! Did you have the SR on or off for these?.......cheers........Don
