Guessing birds could care less about stupid human pictures either :roll:... but as fast moving as they tend to be... good examples of both lens and IS capabilities.

i have to say the same, even tho i've posted many. spring is in the air and macros will be the subject for awhile.

I can appreciate the skill involved in bird picturs, I couldn't take good ones if my life depended on it, not quick enough and my hands are not steady.

Doesn't mean I have to like the subject matter though. I just don't like birds, so any good pictures of things OTHER than birds is right up my alley.

I really like the chess board pic. Good control of dof and lighting. I also like the perspective of the shot. Very artistically done. This set reminds me to show my 50mm 1.7 some love. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks Royce. It's the first time I've been out with a 50mm lens. The DOF variations are quite amazing-what you can do with blurring etc. The bokeh on this lens is very nice, and at f/2, it is very sharp. Great lens at a good price...cheers.....Don
