I really wish you'd stop posting these photos. You are pushing me to want one of those lens really bad, and my budget says don't do it.

Great photos.

Jim,
You should have some time to get your head together. I am leaving early in the morning for a trip to Reno for the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Show. You should have a little over a week with out my photos.

A friend of mine makes trips to New York on a pretty regualar basis and I've already told him to keep his eyes open. Hopefully, he can find somethng to beat the on line prices. I'm impressed with the lens, but realize that's only part of the equation, your abilities are the other. You definitely do a great job.

Unless you REALLY need and would make REGULAR use of its capabilities..... save yourself hundreds.... and get the 70=300mm and a Tamron 1.4x TC.

Not near as fast or build quality.... but 3.5 LBS!! lighter...(its called BIGma for a reason)
and gets decent shots even at full zoom with the 1.4x Tam and effectively 675mm ok not quite the 750mm the Bigma would be.
