I did the following in PS CS2.
1) resize
2) clone and clean up the background a bit
3) adjust levels for contrast
4) adjust saturation...just a little bit, the colors were already there and I found that if I pushed them much further, they got to gaudy.
5) USM

These are nice, and I also prefer the second one (though I can admire the technique to get three side-by-side tulip centers sharp). It's interesting that you adjusted the saturation up a bit and had such success.Whenever I try it they look way over the top, but these are really good.
