Another one taken at the Oklahoma City Zoo. I wasn't too sure about this one since I actually had a pretty nasty reflection since it was taken through glass. There was a lighted display behind me that cast a red and green hue on the back of this silverback's head. I played with it some this morning and I think I may have a keeper out of it after all. This guy was begging to have his picture taken and actually looked my way when I was clicking away. Used the FA 50mm f/1.4 for this one.

Thanks for looking.

Kevin

I don't think he was overly excited about you taking his picture! But it is a nice shot.

Be glad of the glass. Very, very glad of the glass.

Great shot btw.

Like what you did with this one, considering the lighting. The closest I would want to be to this guy is the distance I am now - having him looking out of my computer monitor, and no closer.

Nice Shot,

But I find the fairly narrow "band" (nose to ear) of only sharp focus a bit distracting.

Might have been better if you went up to 2.8 or 3.5.... the 10D's IS at that FL should have been fine at 1/15, if you are reasonably steady.

Still overall a very nice shot.
But for instance like the Chimp pic in your Bear thread much more.
