Nice shot! The ones in my yard fly around and pester me if I don't keep the feeder full, or if I put seed in that they don't care for.

There has to be sunflower seed in the mix or they are not happy.

Three of these guys have claimed the snowball tree where the small feeder is hung. We sometimes look out to see large numbers of Juncos (snowbirds) and various sparrows in the tree only to be chased off by the three Chickadees.

Here is a shot from earlier in the morning, unfortunately shot through two panes of glass (see the flare, especially in the lower right). I used the *istDS withthe Sigma 24-135mm at 135mm, ISO800, exposure f6.3 at 1/250 (earlier in the day the light is behind my house). The handheld blur makes me wish for a K10D (Given that I currently have two 6MP cameras I think I would skip the K100D).

Like the pictures - yep, you could certainly do well with a K10 to go along with the DS and DL. After all, isn't one of those your wife's camera? And you really do need a second body so you can keep different lenses on them and protect your sensor, right? And with all those birds out there, you really NEED those extra mp, don't you? And with all that snow the weather sealing is important, right? And you don't really need to eat for a couple of months, do you? So get the K10 now, you really do need it.:G:G:G

Just how much trouble are you trying to get me in?

Actually I plan on upgrading to whatever is available in June 2008 as a retirement present. If the K10D is still available it will probably be greatly discounted (probably replaced by a newer model with a new feature set and maybe even more resolution).

Annette sets theDL on 'auto pict' and just uses her compositional skills to come up with some great pictures. I usually try to shoot something different from what she is shooting just so that I don't get totally embarrassed. I have printed two "My Publisher" books of her pictures as presents for special occasions.

Check out http://www.aicphotography.blogspot.com/to see what I mean.

Hello, Ira,

Perhaps you could get the K10D for your wife as a gift, and maybe, just maybe, she would allow you to borrow it occasionally. :-)

Regards,

Lawrence
