I just bought a Pentax K100D. Can someone please tell me how to put a date stamp when taking a picture? The instruction manual does not explain how to do this. Thank you.

Short answer - the camera can't do it.

Long answer: the camera puts date/time in with the exif information, not printed on the picture itself. Just my opinion, but I always thought the date stamped on a picture ruined most pictures, and it was the first thing I made sure was turned off on any of my previous cameras. You can always add a date on the photo with a graphics program later on, if you want it on the picture itself. I prefer to check the exif information - that will giveyou not only the date and time, it will also give you the shutter speed, aperture and all kinds of other information about your shot.

date/time in pictures doesn't look good.

if you need it, use IRFANVIEW ( http://www.irfanview.com )

it writes all selected EXIF-parameters in every colour, fontstyle, size, somewhere into your picture.

for this picture $T(%d.%m.%Y %H:%M) ... look Insert text ... Help
