Finally had a chance to get out with my Sigma 400mm AF lens that I bought over the winter. All shots are hand held.

these are ok but i think you might want to use at least a monopod. i've been shooting my 300 with a 1.4x =420mm and find there is a big difference between 300 and 400mm.

I will probably use a tripod once the snow melts off the landscape here.
