Deer Herd - Portrait - To Easy - BIGMA

K10D & my Bigma

WFR- Wild Free Ranging

Some times things happen that make you think this was just to easy. I was on a ridge sitting on a tree stump using my spotting scope trying to find something to stalk to get a photo.

I heard a noise and looked down below me and there was a small herd of deer coming out for a early dinner. Get off the stump, use the stump to help steady the camera and press the shutter.

Yes I did use my crow call. A very soft call just to get him to pay attention.

Back off and down the other side of the ridge. Looked back and they all were back to eating. No harm no foul

When do they drop their antlers out there Roger?

Great deer photos as usual.

About another month and the antlers will be gone. Then it is time to try and get them when they are growing their new ones in velvet. This also is about the time the Osprey come back to our valley. Osprey might be my favorite to hunt so I am getting anxious to try the K10D & the BIGMA on our Ospreys when they get back.

Thanks for the nice comment and for looking.

I am sure the camera buffs will come up with a new name for that GIANT. Sure would be fun to try it out.

Great shots and story. I still think the story really makes the images more special in some way.
