Meet my friend WOODY - Bigma

Last year Woody and I spent quite a bit of time together down by the river. I went down to the river the other day to find him and let him know I like him was back to the river now that winter is over.

Here is where I found him in one of his favorite 3 trees with a close up.

I think Woody was mad at me cause he turned his head away. Only thing I could figure was I didn't go down last fall and say good bye for the winter.

I apologized and he looked at me with that OK but don't do that again this year look.

It looks like he is willing to pose again. Good news everything is back to normal.

I really enjoy my time down by the river in Woody country. Rodney9 thanks for the kind comment and for taking the time to look.

I'd like a friend like yours. Is he a trained model, or is it maybe you who are a skilled photographer:-)? I've never seen one of this kind, what species is he (or her)?

Kjell thanks for looking and for the comment.

I looked him up and it has two names.

1. Lewis's woodpecker

2. Melanerpes lewis

I like my name for him best: Woody
