While at the park today I came across two Canada Geese fighting with each other. This one was the dominant bird, and I took this as he was chasing the other across the snow. Definitely not the best picture, but the position I captured him in made me laugh. He could be in training for the Olympic long jump.

"Good picture" and "sharp, perfectly exposed picture" are not always the same thing. I love this one, it's definitely a "good picture"!

What Kjell said - I like it too. Just because a photo is perfectly exposed and perfectly in focus doesn't mean that its a good picture. And a good picture can be lots of fun while having technical faults. This is falls into the latter category.

Chris, that pose is very funny, but I would hate to be the object of his ire!

Thanks for the comments everyone. Perhaps we need an 'Animal Olympics' thread!

Kjell and Harriet, thank you for the positive comments. Sometimes we are most critical of our own photos. After looking at it again today, I see it as a 'good, fun' picture, as opposed to the day I took it and it was a 'fun, but not perfectly focused or exposed' picture. Definitely a keeper. On closer inspection, I realize that the picture works because the focus is on the body and the eye (the cameras doing, not mine). If the camera had focused on the foreground wing, I think it would have failed completely. Thanks Pentax!

Rodney, love the crow. His eye is amazing,a great fun picture.
