K100D 70-300 APO DG

Rainbow Lorikeet feeding at the top of our huge Umbrella Tree.

My favourite bird, not only do they look good but they fly fast and party hard.
I have seen them at the end of summer drunk on fermented nectar. One I saw was lying on his back on the ground, at first I thought he was injured but he wasn't, he did manage to fly crookedly away some time later but while he lay there I swear he was laughing and giggling, drunk as. One of the funniest sights I've seen in the animal kingdom.
