Osprey Fans - Mark Your Calendar

I just finished putting up all the information for the July 13-15 2007 Osprey Fest for the New Mexico State Parks. It will be at Heron Lake here in the Chama, New Mexico Valley. If any of you are going to be in the area and like to photograph Osprey you don't want to miss this opportunity.

Osprey Fest Information: http://www.friendsofheronandelvadolakes.com/

Last years Osprey Photos: http://www.friendsofheronandelvadola...ey/osprey.html

Here is a link so you can see what kind of photo opportunities the Osprey MAY give you. When you see the photos you need to know that I took them with:

1. Panasonic FZ30

2. Less than 1 year of owning a camera

3. About 6 months experience trying to take wildlife photos

Enjoy and if you are able to get out here for the Osprey Fest PLEASE stop in my place and I will buy the coffee

Lovely photo Roger. Another fierce looking bird - hope he wasn't aiming at you!

Much as I would like to visit, it is a bit further afield than I tend to go for a weekend. LOL

Hmm, the bus to town at 07.03, then the train to Copenhagen at 08.16... at what time was the gathering in NM, you said...?

Outstanding photo (as usual), Roger!:|

Awesome picture - will have to keep this in mind for future years, but think we'll probably stay closer to home this year (no big trip planned, not with the price of gas the way it is).

Nice shot Roger. There are some birds nesting on telephone poles around here that I think are Osprey. I need to get some better pics and post one for a positive ID. I also appreciate the invite, but I will have to pass. The drive from FL would be grueling.

Thanks,

Tim
