Finally read the rest of the thread. The comments on the religious fashion themed photos was interesting to say the least

Phil has done a good job of making several things very clear...

1. He has some mental problems.
2. He is very pro Canon and Nikon and will not tolerate any negative comments about either brand.
3. His reviews are biased towards the two companies that pay him for pushing their products those companies are Canon and Nikon.

The only reason he reviews anything other than Canon or Nikon is to help try to make his site and his reviews more balanced. However, spend any time on the forums or reading his reviews and you will quickly see what side his bread is buttered on.

Looking forward to bumping in to him at the "Salon de Photos" PENTAX stand in Paris this October 3-7. As the PENTAX sponsor they have asked if I could be there for the full duration of the show, where I am sure we will be demonstrating some rather pleasant little trinkets...

I have a dpreview membership but I rarely go there, too many arguments. I think we need to be careful that the nonsense that has made dpreview a favourite for the short tempered and intolerant doesn't spread to here.

Arguing over brand loyalty is rather pointless after all.

I totally agree with Monza76 we need to keep this forum friendly, civil and open minded to others needs, wants, desires and opinions. We will all get the most from the forum then.

This coming from someone that was banned on the dpreview forum several times and someone that had his fair share of skuffles on their. I am aiming and working hard to not let that happen here. Or at least to make sure I don't start it!

I occasionally visit that forum and occasionally post if the question is worthy.

Unfortunately that forum is filled with technogeeks and pixelpeepers that do nothing but compare and measure and bitch and complain and moan and whinge and cry and dribble and carry on.

Where as on this forum it is about photography, not the camera nd about sharingf our knowledge and experiences and learning from each other.

This forum has definatelty grown but is still very friendly.

And not that they have the commercial interests DP might but there are the far too perfection a$ all there i$ ANAL on the BBR/DSLRep DI forums too.....

So a BIG THANKS STEVE... for a place people can just talk and have individual OPINION not necessarily just towing the party line without getting flamed or banned.
