Just trying to make something from nothing. Found this fallen tree branch in the park. Wow spring here is sure taking its time.

Been playing with Ben's post processing methods. Have a feeling I'm not alone there... Really seems to make some pictures really pop off the page.

The head on this branch was no bigger than a nickle, to put it in perspective.

Fred

A little closer

As close as I could get...

All shot with the Kiron 105mm f2.8 macro.

My wife and I just went to a self cutting tulip patch and brought home a few tulips. I thought why not get some photos of the insides of those beautiful flowers. I used my #2 close-up filter andthe DL kit lens. (I had to tape the filter on since it was 55mm!) Anyway here goes.

welcome back greg. don't you just love that lens. mine also shows as a f2.4

glen, you are so right, anything goes. very nice shots also.

i had my worse macro day of all yesterday. i wanted to get some shots using the 105mm and the LED ring light and i got many , 30-40 and they were all blurred. problem is that i finally found an inch worm doing his thing and not one shot was good enough for me. here's a computer screw using the LEDs. f8, light only from the array.
