Has anyone here tried JAlbum software? It help you create photo albums for your own webpage. I decided to try it since I have gobs of webspace I am not using for anything. Overall, I was fairly impressed (but understand that I am not a web designer and neither do I play one on TV).

My efforts, many of these pics have already been posted here.

i've been using it off and on for about 3 years. for a freebie it 's a great program.

i looked at the first album tim and it's really good but i think you need to use a little more aggressive jpg compression as the files can take a while to load, and i'm on dsl.

here's a quickie i did back in 12/05

I used to use it all of the time before I got my SmugMug account. It is great software for free and there are lots of styles available for it also free. If you have the web space and the bandwidth to handle the traffic I think it is a great way to go. I ran in to problems with the bandwidth myself and decided that the one PB (Petra Byte) that I have with SmugMug was just too good to pass up.

try here. they'll host and register for $99 a year. 100gig storage and a 1000gig of bandwidth. we don't use 10% of it.

Thanks Roy. I am using 6/mbs cable so it is hard to tell sometimes. I will be more careful with the next attempt.

Thanks,

Tim
