Here are a few pictures of our neighbors. All three with DL. The sun with the DA 50-200 and the moon with the Sigma 100-300 DL. What do you think of the signs and fence? I think they add something, but not sure if its the right something.

I like the moon shot - nice for a 200mm lens. I'm not crazy about the sign in the first picture, and while I rather like the fence in the second one, the signs are a distraction to me, taking my eye away from the lovely sun/sky. If it were mine, I'd probably try cloning them out, to see if I liked it any better. But that's just my opinion - so take it for what its worth.

If this was tonight (3-30) seems to appear a bit fuller here way down yonder and across the pond (rotationally rather different too!) Though that I knew.... a 1/4 or less moon here lies on its back most of the time (HEY its the KEYS ).... in Denmark at least stood on its freezing tip toes. (about 90 deg diff) and that time of year freezing, windy, and dark (about 6-8 hour sun light).... not long ago seasonally (late Jan/Feb)

PS a Q&D out of cam JPEG 20% (at least) Irfanview crop/ around 75% digital zoom. Then at 85% to JPG quality scaled to 640x480

Oh and nahhhh K10D IS/SR just isn't worth a darn. And OK 250th/sec... but that FL and distance (ultra small target axais angle variation = big/fast movement).... and several times (stops) under the safe shutter = 1/FL rule, handheld just snapped not really cocentrated on other than to go -1 EV after first quick shot... probably should have done 1.5 too .

The EXIF says 300/450mm, but actualy with Tam 1.4x TC... so effective 630mm actually and since not cam reported only SR compensated for 450mm of the effective 630mm lens.

And this does answer a question I have long wondered about yes moon phase does vary slightly in apparent sense depending on place on the planet. There you probably see only 1 day of real full moon but we see closer to 3 or 4 before it becomes significantly shaved. Only way I really know its really Full moon is when sunset and moon rise coincide.... and helps to have the island near 180 degree sky arc horizon to horizon view (well above 30 ft or so)

Mtngal and Hayward, thanks for commenting. I think your right about the sign. I'll keep on trying! Have a great day. By the way it's snowing again here!
