These guys shovel gravel ALL day through makeshift sifts to seperate the larger stones. The sifted gravel is then shovelled onto tip trucks and taken to the brick works where they make the local concrete blocks for construction of houses.

I think they secretly hope to strike gold or oil when they are digging. I was sweating in the heat and these guys are shovelling and not even looking hot doing it.

This is where they are working, a large river bed that is currently very dry, the whole place is fulll of little holes and piles of sifted gravel. Sunrise to sunset, italways has people digging.

Great shots. This one (#2) looks processed as an HDR - true?

Nznhut, actually there was very little PP with these shots, Shot with the DL with Sigma 10-20mm lens, had my AF540FGZ flash on dialed back to -3.

Did the USM as per Bens setting's and a little burning and I mean justa little over the gravel for some extra texture.

My DL takes great pics.
