I see people posting these beautiful photographs of various birds of prey, water fowl, bright coloured little birds of every kind and all I have around here are sparrows, seagulls and rather mangery looking citypidgeons!

Sigh! I guess I should get out more.

Keep up the good work, it is these great pictures that I really come here for.

LOL! I know what you mean - I feel the same way every time someone posts a perfect butterfly picture.

I know what you mean. There are some wonderful pictures on this site and they make life just a little more enjoyable. It is always nice to see God's creation from the camera's point of view especially with some of the folks we have behind those cameras.

I want to second that complaint,

on the other hand I'm glad that there are enough differences.

One of the things I really like about this worldwide community is the chance to see animals, insects, nature, buildings, you name it ... from other places through the eyes of the photographer. Not talking about the kind help you can get.

I'm just glad I can contribute

even shots like the one above of the carolina wren aren't easy to get. i keep on trying but these little ones just flit around too much. about the time i get focused all i can see is a bare branch. welcome ed.

Here is my best bird shot todate. I don't normally shoot birds as I find them a bit hard to deal with. They won't sit still... why? I don't know... alls I want to do is shoot them!
