I like the closer pic better; it looks like that lens works well for you. I only wish FL looked that green right now.

Thanks Tim...It's starting to dry up here as well. Haven't had much rain at all here in the northern part of the state and the croops are starting to die.

No filters at all. I've yet to get an adapter ring for the Kit lens or any other lens I have. The adapter ring for my Cokin Filters is 55mm and I need a 49, 52, and a 58mm rings to match up to my lenses!

Illustrates the value of manual lenses for scenic shots.

Will have to have another look thro' my old Pentax manual lenses.

I've a 50mm f/2 and a 135mm f/2.8 left over from my K1000 days. They are working great...It just means you have to manually focus them...That is the main reason I'm moving to the DSLR..I got tired of not being able to manually focus when I needed to! Options are good.
