Here is a photo from a 12 page story shot by Karl Lagerfeld the Clothing designer and on every page you see the "Pentax" This is from the March 2007 issue of "NUMERO" magazine.

I don't get that . That is a great pict of the model and above all the camera body and lens. I cannot recognise the camera body and the lens at all.

Cool treatment

I will be happy if that pict came from the Ad agency of Pentax. If so, big time is around the corner

Ben,

Looks like some adv money from Pentax is behind this 645D initial push. Very good sign indeed for Pentaxians.

You are absolutely right. Pentax didn't even know that this cover came out. I sent them an e-mail to the fact. There was no remuneration for using the camera in the shoot. None the less it is good for them. "Brand Recognition"..

Ben

The interesting thing is WHO was the photographer? He had to be a Pentax shooter.

No C or N shooter is going to fill his shot with Pentax and vica versa.

So the question begs who is this masked stranger with a possiblePentax :lol::lol: Maybe he is still shooting with Pentax 645 film cameras and drooling for the new 645D :G

It was Karl Lagerfeld the Couture Fashion Designer. He doesn't need to buy anything. He has his six assistants who set up the shot and he takes it. Doesn't have a clue about lighting, photography. He's too busy for that. There was probably a 645n at the studio that he used as a prop and it was happenstance that it was the 645n..It could have been a Mamiya if that was what the studio had in their rental department. Seeing what he has shot in the past and viewing a few of his shoots via "news letters" it might have been a Canon 1Ds Mkll or a Mamiya with a pro back tethered to the computer...Good "Accident" for Pentax though!

Just type in "Karl Lagerfeld" in to Google, you'll understand immediately.

Here is my 645n and as you can see from the first photo the 645n logo is on the top of the camera by the models hand.

Nice promo for Pentax, but most people won't know what brand of camera it is other than a large studio camera.

Strange fact from my google search:

"Lagerfeld converted his 60,000 CD collection onto his arsenal of Apple iPods. As of December 2004, he owned roughly 70 iPods, scattered around the globe in his various residences"
