I was out hiking today and on the way back I stopped to try to get some reflections in a puddle (failed miserably). As I was considering things, this fellow landed and took a bath. I think he looks like an OregonDark Eyed Junko, but am not sure since I really don't know much about birds. He was fun to watch.

You can't really tell much about him in that picture. But he did pause long enough for me to snap this one.

Is this a Mountain Chickadee? He was bathing in a different puddle and was in shadow. The picture isn't very good, but he looked so wet that I thought it was cute.

The first one is tough, but the second is a Junco. Nice shots!

With that kind of lighting, my K10D exposes perfectly just like yours did.

Lovely shots. The first one is a lot sharper than I got when watching a duck do the same thing.

The second though is brilliant.
