I just found two of my pictures on a Government website. Feels weird seeing them there. I dodn't know they had used them. http://www.afp.gov.au/international/...loyments/tonga

and Page 5 of this

No reference to me as the photographer, but thats okay. I knowmy pics and I have the original images on my PC. :G

Can't hurt to ask them to post credit under the photos.

Not surprised that they used your pics - you've always taken interesting pictures. Well done!

Hi Crashman.

My opinion is to get credit and cash. No one shoulduse your images without you permission. For what I can see, this is a goverment webside and they know the rules of copyrighted material on the internet. There are alot of photographers trying to make a living by selling their pics andthats why you should call them and demand your nameonthe images and to get payed.

Sorry for beeing so harsh but I was in a simular situation some years ago and at the end I got payed alot of money because some PR company ripped of my pictures.

I supplied them with copies :|and hoped that they might be used for whatever official purposes they wanted.

Just happy that they felt they were up to standard forpublic use.

It is the agency that I work for that is using them. Not a complaint from me....

I have taken pictures over here in Timor that other UN personnel have asked for copies of.I know for certain that they have been emailed all over the worldto their families and friends. I have no issues with that either, as the copies that I shared were similar to the compressed web images we display here in the forum, nice on the screen but don't try to print. Nice feeling to have others want your photos to send home to family. At this satge photography is my hobby not my job. Though I do hope to do something with all the images I am taking whilst on this 100 week overseas journey.

The pic on page 4 looks like one of yours as well.

Great to see your pics in print, but it looks like they don't credit anyone for photos.

If you are not concerned, then congrats on the publication.
