I've got what I think are exposure problems when using my K10D and my AF-540FGZ.

Please look at the attached photos and let me know where I am going wrong and what I can do to correct this.

1st photo:
Exposure:1/180s at f/8
ISO: 100
Exposure Mode: Auto
Exposure Program: Normal
Meetering Mode: Pattern

2nd Photo:
Exposure:1/180s at f/5.6
ISO: 100
Exposure Mode: Auto
Exposure Program: Normal
Meetering Mode: Pattern

3rd Photo:
Exposure:1/180s at f/8
ISO: 100
Exposure Mode: Auto
Exposure Program: Aperture Prioroty
Meetering Mode: Pattern

4th Photo:
Exposure:1/180s at f/5.6
ISO: 100
Exposure Mode: Auto
Exposure Program: Normal
Meetering Mode: Pattern

5th Photo:
Exposure:1/180s at f/5.6
ISO: 100
Exposure Mode: Auto
Exposure Program: Normal
Meetering Mode: Pattern

Why do I get such wide variations in exposure between shots? I would think since conditions are identical for each shot, I shouldn't get such a wide variation between photos. I prefer the exposure of the first shot compared to all the others.

Thanks for any advice.
