OspreyLand-Afternoon Delight (Mating)

Ma Dam flew over to this pole from their nest and started calling and Pa Dam left the tree he was on about 200 yards away and headed towards the pole where Ma Dam was.

"An Osprey's mating call consists of a brief "hew" and is repeated many times. To mate, the male has to get on top of the female's back. The female has to bring her tail up while the male brings his down. When mating, Osprey have to be careful about hurting each other. For example, a male will ball up his feet to avoid hurting the female with his talons during mating"

Lovely sequence Roger.

A GIF file of this would be fun.

Great shots and capture.
You certainly have brought this to new height - or should I say new climax.

Amazing shots - as ever -
the only downside is that they keep me pushing to get a Bigma

Thanks for posting - Ronny
