Hi,

I am interested in getting a focusing screen for my K100d that would provide "rule of thirds" grid lines. I have found them for the K10d and idst cameras but cannot find anything for the K100. Does anyone know if something is available and how well they work?

Thanks,

Robi

but they are the same, aren't they... *istDx/K1xx/K10 can use the same screens.

I don't know if they are the same. The Pentax site lists one for the K10 but does not list it for the k100. B and H lists one for the idst and one for the k10 but neither mention the k100.

The way screens can be mounted differs- but screens are the same in dimensions... that is what I was reading on different forums.

Their part number are not the same
DL , Ds & DL1 uses screen parts LL60 (B&H has it and it is easy to replace)
K100D uses this one as shown

Definitely not LL60. See the part number at top right.
I have problem taking out my screen of K100D. DL has been a piece of cake and I have a split screen there . I like it a lot.
Let me know if you can take it (K100D) off?

Daniel

The link is aboutscreen for K10D.
But this thread is about K100D which is what I have. Apparently K100D is different from the others (at least part number) I could not yank it out. Otherwise I will be able to measure it with that of DL

Yes, I have read that thread as well but I still think they are NOT including the k100 is the discussion of the actual Pentax part LL60 or LI60.

Katzeye Optics lists a screen for the k100 and a different order # for the k10. I have read some conflicting things about the Katzeye and was just wondering if there is an alternative.

don't they have 4 different parts

Katz Eye™ Focusing Screen for the
Pentax *istD, *istDs, & *istDs2

Katz Eye™ Focusing Screen for the
Pentax *istDL

Katz Eye™ Focusing Screen for the
Pentax K100D

Katz Eye™ Focusing Screen for the
Pentax K10D

http://www.katzeyeoptics.com/cat--Pe...at_pentax.html

that does not necessarily mean that they are different physically.
