There is a cliff that is above a pair of Ospreys nest. I call them Ma & Pa Dam since their nest is close to El Vado Dam.

I just have not seen many Osprey photos where the Osprey is eye level or lower than the photographer. It is a pretty good job to get to the top of the cliffs then down to the edge so I don't go there real often. Something else to think about is trying to pan on a flying Osprey while you are on the edge of a cliff is interesting when you think about trying to keep your balance. After they have their babies I will go back for more photos.

Here is Ma Dam in her nest with a close up of her

Here she is from the edge of the cliff

I ended up finding a rock to sit behind and put my feet on the rock to pan with out loosing my balance. I was using my BushHawk from a sitting position.

Great shots Roger.

Love the last 3.

BiF always look good, esp when so sharp.

Hi Darren, now that I have a spot that I can settle into I am anxious to go back and see about getting some keepers from this vantage point. Thanks for looking and commenting.

Hi Glenn, thank you for such a kind comment and for taking the time to look. As long as people got something to say then it is a lot of fun to post photos.

Nice shots Roger. I have paid a lot more attention to Osprey nests around here since you started posting, maybe this weekend I can take a little time to emulate you.
