Some of you may recognise this setting but bcause of this weekend national Songwriters Festival.... actaually had a white thing to manually WB off of.

In fact still rather tweaked because of the PINK light....sure the banner looke pretty white but performer looked like a MARTIAN.... so redding her up made in the end made the white go offf. But agan done totaly via LCD real time feedback tweak after the AWB no preset would be close to... and where as most other cameras just guessing/hunting and pecking for man WB..... litterally all three of these shots are ONE time tries with no adjustment, just for the demonstration.

First case for the extreeme just AWB setting.... forget it

OK and now TRUE AWB AKA Manual WB... because of the festival , first time had the WHITE banner to Man AWB off of..... and still (K10D) WB fine tuned/tweaked largely (or she'd look like a Martian... and the banner would be white. For those of you that don't know colorimity.... red/pink is the opposite of green.

And BTW all of these straight JPG out of cam, PLUS MAN white balance tweaking, the REAL TIME visual correction the K10D allows.... could certainly be tweaked better for exposure value. And again totally PINK flood lit stage... even your eyes would never see close to white. And actualy all the way to the other side of the preset WB range the K10D gives you to adjust but again man WB to actual white and then in visual real time adjustment not just hit an miss gussing. And literally I did all three of these shots in about 30 sec.

And for last exposure being same f/ and speed is darkest.... just because it is just rejecting all that red light, and looking for every bit of green and blue it can find to balance it.

(PS for any interested... lens Pentax A (MF) 1.7 50mm for all three exposures.)
