I went to a show organized by Henry. I borrowed a K10D from another Pentaxian Edmund to take the following pict
The firmware for the SSM was not installed yet and the in body AF was used instead. Seems really fast.
My initial impression:
*Lighter than I thought
*Faster AF (conventional)
*Looks very Canon like in the sense that it is very intimidating - that may just be me as I am for prime lenses only
*A lot of people may complain about the limited FL range . Its FoV spans only 12-32 degree. I do not complain as large range will result in heavy build.

Two pict was uploaded. The first one at 135mm wide open

Overall Pentax Canada staff are very helpful and positive

Thefull sized pictures are really impressive, especially the second one. Glad to hear you thought it was lighter than you had expected.
