Long absence but hope to get back as a regular reader/contributer ... here is a picture from a recent trip to Vancouver/Victoria. I've got a spot in the same place on my pictures. Presume this is a speck of dust on the sensor. Correct?

I seem to remember earlier threads suggesting this was "do it yourself" cleaning process. Suggestions or pointing to earlier discussion most welcome.

Cheers, Mike

Using a rocket blower should remove all but stubborn dust marks.

In the thread that robar refers to, I've not had too much success with using DigiPads to remove stubborn spots and will likely pay a dealer to do the job where they guarantee to remove them

No one confirmed that your spot looks like dust. It is. I haven't had anything (yet) that hasn't come off with the rocket blower.

Just found a good buy it now deal on EBAY for one $8 + $3 ship (much better than any retail deal that came up).... not fond of Dust Off.... hope it works as well as you all say.... more portable and in the end inexhastable as well.

Is the intake filter as good as they say.... ever deposited dust yet?

I just tried oficial Pentax Imagesensor Cleaning Kit (O-ICK1), uses of adhesian polyurethane . It is non liquid type ,so handy& easy to use. Airport officer will not curious checking, very convenience when in travel. Although I need averege 2-4times to repeat the sama action before all particles get rid.
