Pictures taken at the Oklahoma City Zoo. By noon the temp was already 85 degrees, the animals weren't too active. All photos were taken with the Tamron 70-300.

First a Jaguar:

This one was my favorite of the day. I will be submitting this one for the zoo calendar photography contest.

Nice - I love animal shots.

Looks like my zoo visit must come around again soon - weather has been nasty last couple of weekends.

I can see why you love the jaguar - it's outstanding. I like your gator, too. Looking at all these makes me think about taking a nap!

A bald eagle:

That darn branch! But I stood there for a half hour and he wasn't moving. It was a stare down match and I moved first. I'm sure as soon as I walked away he changed his spot.

ishino,
the jag is great. the rest show some OOF or cam shake. from looking at the exif i think you need to open up the ap and go to iso400 to get your speed up. remember a rule of thunb, if you are shooting with a 300mm lens then the least shutter speed to use is 1/300sec. i know that SR will compensate but ............
when i go to the zoo i always take a monopod. it works..
