Trying to catch the colour of the season for the Monthly Challenge I went to a nearby beech forest. For a few days, when the new leaves have just bursted, there is a wonderful, greenish light when the daylight trickles down through the tree tops. After a week or so the leaves have darkened and gives a less fascinating dull shadow.

I have found a new source of income, to contribute a little to my LBA. I sell baby plants on an auction site, and sell at higher prices than anyone else. I think it's due to presentation: a nice picture and a written presentation that conveys knowledge and seriousness. People have payed up to 75 USD for one of these! So far I have made 325 USDby selling7 tiny pieces of plants! (OK, I make an effort to deliver quality, but anyhow it's insane)

This one I haven't offered for sale yet, but I like how the pic came out:

Thanks for looking, and please add to the thread with your own pics.

Kjell, that is a neat green light in your forest pic. I like your hibiscus shots too.I assume all of these arerare species/subtypes like the one you posted earlier? Some of them don't lookmuch different from the ones in people's yards here in Florida.

Kjell I understand why folks buy your plants. Your photos make a person want one. These are beautiful.

Wow! I really love your first one (very much my type of place) and your last one - what wonderful colors.

It's funny how I go with pictures. I spent a number of days last week trying to get decent pictures of flowers, and wasn't really happy with most of them (since I didn't get much reaction to the ones I did like, I guess they weren't even as good as I thought). Today I wandered back over to the Botanical Gardens, and took more flowers, most that I liked. I couldn't believe it when I looked at your red hibiscus tonight- here's the one I took today.

And a yellow one - not as interesting as your flowers. I almost missed this flower and was running late getting back to the office. Taken with the K10 and the A*300 (it just happened to be on the camera at that point, and I didn't have time to change lenses and get back to the office).
